Environmental Planning Services

Among the services Ganey Science provides are environmental planning and impact assessment under the federal National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA); the New York State and City Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) processes; and equivalent outside state process (e.g. California Environmental Quality Act).

Our team has extensive experience in the NEPA environmental planning process at sites nationwide that include parks, military bases, prisons, utility and transportation corridors, and more.  We provide the full spectrum of environmental permitting services related to these regulatory processes.

Climate Change Consulting Services

Ganey Science recognizes climate change as a scientific consensus and a significant global environmental problem.  Fortunately, there are substantial efforts underway on a variety of scales intended to address this issue.

Our team performs climate change consulting services that include extensive experience in environmental planning & permitting intended to address climate change.  We prepare climate change mitigation & adaptation/resilience plans.  We perform greenhouse gas reporting & air quality compliance services in accordance with relevant scientific and regulatory processes.  We are also available for sea level rise/flooding analysis studies.

Ecological Restoration

Ganey Science provides ecological restoration services in the areas of wetland and stream restoration (using geomorphologic and stream design principles), mitigation banking (mitigation alternatives evaluation) and preparation of natural resources management plans . We are also available for independent, interdisciplinary environmental monitoring of your restoration projects.

Coastal-Ocean Science

Ganey Science provides coastal science services including coastal watershed studies, recreational beach water quality sampling and analysis, seafloor and marsh sediment coring, and coastal wetland restoration studies. We manage sediment dredging projects and disposition of contaminated sediments. We conduct comprehensive environmental planning analysis of projects affecting the coastal zone. - including protected marine areas and species.

Field Sciences

Ganey Science provides the right expertise for field science services in the areas of biology (plant and wildlife surveys), geology and geotechnical investigations, hydrology, watershed, and water quality studies, paleontology, and archaeology studies. We are also available for interdisciplinary environmental monitoring of your construction projects.

Natural Disasters

Ganey Science provides full service expertise in natural disasters consulting with in-depth experience in geological catastrophes and wildfire and expertise in disaster planning, mitigation, and recovery. Recovery services focus on natural and cultural resources plus community health.

We also assist municipal fire departments in the areas of project management, dispatch, personnel recruitment, training curriculum development, emergency medical services staffing and deployment, and master planning,

Community and Population Health

Ganey Science prepares Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNA) and Community Health Implementation Strategies for non-profit hospitals and health systems. CHNAs are prepared using primary and secondary data sources to fully evaluate the health of the community, including the social determinants of health, ultimately advancing health equity. The CHNA process can incorporate a community health survey targeting the most vulnerable members of the community, including medically underserved, low-income, and minority community members, including those with limited English language proficiency.
